The Delta Stewardship Council is pleased to announce exciting opportunities to join our science, administration, and legal divisions in the following three roles.


1. Senior environmental scientist (specialist): Under the direction of the environmental program manager I, the incumbent will be responsible for leading and performing key activities that support the mission of the Delta Science Program related to administering science funding, fostering collaborative science, and promoting peer review all with an emphasis on fostering the best available science for water and environmental decision-making. Applications are due December 5.


2. Deputy executive officer for administration: Under the direction of the chief deputy executive officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the direction and management of the administration division. This position directs, manages, organizes, implements, and evaluates the activities of the Council's administrative services; and serves as a key member of the executive management team and as an advisor to the executive team on a wide range of administrative issues. Applications are due December 6.


3. Attorney IV: Under the general direction of the chief counsel, the incumbent will provide legal advice and assistance to Council members and staff. Services may also be provided to the Delta Plan Interagency Coordination Committee and Delta Independent Science Board. Applications are due December 11.

The Council’s headquarters building is in downtown Sacramento. All positions within the Council are telework-eligible. The exact terms of a telework schedule will be negotiated with the hiring manager, depending on the needs of the organization.
