Join our team! The Winnebago County Health Department is
looking for a Public Health Nurse for our Healthy Lifespan Division.
Public Health Nurses lead and coordinate efforts to identify needs of our Winnebago County population. This position works with our Promoting Healthy Aging partners to prevent illness, injury or disability and promote maintenance of health within our adult population.

As a part of the Healthy Lifespan Division this position will work with a variety of groups including community organizations, Winnebago County Human Services, health care providers, health care organizations, Winnebago County Housing Authority and the public.

Essential functions include planning and providing health assessments, programs, projects, interventions, and strategies at the individual, family, or community level; building and maintaining relationships with community agencies; conducting community population assessments; and work with governmental and community partners to help fill gaps and improve policy, systems or the environment to improve health.
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • One year or more of public health nursing or general hospital experience is preferred
  • Current WI license as a Registered Nurse
  • Current WI driver’s license
  • Current CPR certification
