Pastor Trudy's Message
Eighteen years is a long time to struggle with anything. The woman in the Gospel lesson has been moving through life bent over for that long. Jesus heals her and sets her free! But rather than being filled with joy and wonder, those present begin to question whether healing on the Sabbath is acceptable. How often do we miss people being set free or being healed because we are focused on other things?
God who sees, over and over, in parable and in command, You ask us to be ready. Help us to navigate our distractions to see the signs of life and healing happening all around us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
