September 2018 at Place des Arts
Home to our arts community
It's back to class! Are you excited to revisit your artistic practice this season or learn something new? We're certainly excited to welcome you back.

We're kicking off our 2018/19 season with the launch of a sparkling new website mid-month to match our new brand. The site will not only be lovely to look at, but will also provide greater ease of navigation and functionality.

This month, we're also hosting our first pARTy@PdA of the season,  launching our 2018/19 exhibitions season and celebrating BC Culture Days at our September 30 Family Day.

Mark your calendar: September - June classes and private lessons start as of September 5, while our fall session classes start the week of September 16.

Still haven't register for a class? It's not too late! We're sure you'll find something inspiring in our 2018-2019 Program Guide, so check it out and register for a fall filled with creative fun.

See you soon!

Teacher Dawn Livera knows that with the right training, tools and attitude everyone can make art, and she is setting out to prove it in her new fall, winter and spring mini-session classes for adults 18+.

Here's a Face You'll Recognize!
If you've spent any time at Place des Arts over the past two decades, you've likely seen or spoken to our lovely Tania Deisinger. Tania is our Registration Coordinator/Financial Assistant, and she knows more about Place des Arts than just about anyone, having been a fixture at the centre for 22 years.

We had a chat with Tania and learned some wonderful details about her tenure here at Place des Arts!

Culture Days in the Tri-Cities
The annual Culture Days celebrations take place the weekend of September 28, 29, 30, and there are lots of ways to get involved in the Tri-Cities.

Along with our own Family Day at PdA, our neighbours at Mackin House are offering hands-on activities and a tour of their exhibit, Heirlooms & Treasures.

Up at Dogwood Pavillion, you can try Bhangra Dancing or dabble in drawing or painting, and at Port Moody Arts Centre, you can "Build a beat!" in their music makerspace.

Check out what's on in your neighbourhood for BC Culture Days and explore the arts and cultural life of your community.
