Dear Friends and Family:
Every two months at Casa de los Sueños, we hold an event that we've been having for more than 14 years: the participation awards for our students. Through their attendance, extra credit work, and good behavior, students earn points that they can exchange for school supplies.
This photo above is from the most recent awards for our Warriors class. This group of students are graduating from High School this year and it was an emotional day for them.It was the last time they will be receiving these awards. They are graduating from our education program to apply to college, thus beginning a new chapter in their lives.
Josué (17): “After so many years of receiving awards, today is a day that’s a little sad and exciting at the same time. We won't be doing these activities anymore, but we'll be embarking on a new experience that's very important to our lives”
These young people are doing their very best to achieve the highest possible academic results and thus earn a strong GPA that will allow them to gain admission to our college program.
We are now launching our fundraising campaign for our Scholarship Program for these students. This program provides them with the necessary support to help them gain admission to college or technical programs, including transportation, supplies, tuition, uniforms, and technological tools, among other forms of assistance. In short, everything they need to achieve their dreams of self-improvement and independence—and thereby lift their families out of the cycle of poverty in which they find themselves.
You can now support any of these students (partially or fully) or contribute any amount to the Education Plus College Scholarship Fund. Any help will be greatly appreciated by the students and their families.
