Let's Get to Work in 2023
Rendering of Gigi's House support center - to include classrooms, staff offices, and more.
After many months of permitting delays, renovations finally begin at Ascensa Health in Atlanta.
Rendering of one of the homes at Breakthru House in Decatur, construction to be led by Taylor Morrison.
We're off and running to make a major impact this year. Three major construction projects kick off in the first quarter of 2023!

  • Meritage Homes is leading construction of a support center at Gigi’s House in Clayton County, which provides a safe haven for teen girls escaping sex trafficking. The support center will provide a place to go to school, meet with counselors, and office space for caring staff.

  • A remodeling project for Ascensa Health in Atlanta will benefit women recovering from addiction, led by Hall Design Build and the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Remodelers Council.

  • Taylor Morrison will lead HomeAid’s efforts to construct two new homes to help women in recovery at Breakthru House in Decatur.

HomeAid continues to work with Leadership Atlanta and various municipalities on ways to contribute to affordable housing throughout metro Atlanta. HomeAid’s Affordable Housing Task Force is working on concrete ways that the residential building industry can help provide attainable housing opportunities for all.

Ten HomeAid Care Days are planned for 2023, four CareKits packing events, and the Essentials Drive to collect needed baby items in honor of Mother’s Day.
Why HomeAid Atlanta?
“There is a shortage of homes serving teen victims of trafficking, and unfortunately, due to lack of space, we have to turn girls away every day. Thanks to HomeAid Atlanta, we now have our second ten-bedroom home. We’re also about to start construction of our school and admin building with HomeAid and Meritage Homes.”
- Sabrina Crawford, Gigi's House Founder & CEO
