THE CITY OF UNLEY LIBRARIES
Unley Libraries Online
This week
Ruth
Hi everyone,

Wow, it has been a big week this week. With the announcement last Friday of libraries being able to open, it has been all hands on deck to get our services up and running. We are so excited to be able to open our doors at 10am on Monday morning (18 May).

We will be open Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm, until further notice. To adhere to health and safety guidelines, some limitations will remain in place. You will be able to:
  • Place holds online and collect from the Libraries.
  • Seek assistance from staff to access the Libraries onsite collections.
  • Use the Unley Libraries Home Service.
  • Return your items through the Libraries returns chutes.
  • Access ongoing online activities and events for all ages.
  • Access the eLibrary online.

Social distancing guidelines and a limit of ten customers at one time will apply. And unfortunately, the Toy Library collection is unavailable.

However, our holds shelves are overflowing with your requests.
Unley Civic Holds shelf
It is the same on both sides here at Unley Civic and similar at Goodwood!

We are asking you to drop in to collect your items quickly. One way would be to ring us ahead of time to enable us to collect any items that might be on the shelf and have them ready for you when you reach the library. We are asking you to use our self check machines, providing hand sanitiser and encouraging social distancing for your health and safety.
We are so looking forward to seeing you all again.

Next week is National Volunteer Week and we would like to recognise the massive contribution our volunteers give to our Libraries and our City. The Unley Civic Library facade will be lit up red all week in recognition of these wonderful people.

Stay safe and we hope to see you soon!

One of my favourite books (and movie adaptions) of the early 2000's was P.S. I Love You by Cecilia Ahern. PostScript is the continuation of Holly's story 7 years after the events of the first book. Cecilia Ahern's writing style has changed quite significantly in this time, however the characters return to life in PostScript in a way that made me nostalgic for the first book again, but pleased to re-imagine where the characters lives headed.
