Hi, tCHF Community, Friends & Family. Thanks to the many years of reading fables from LaFontaine, Aesop and others, we have written our own fable story with illustration contributions from local Arts students in Princeton, NJ. We are excited as this will be our first book and its success mean greater involvement in the lives of underprivileged children in Haiti.
The next step of this project is getting your donations and promoting the book among friends and family members to raise funds for tCHF. We are looking to raise $4,000.00 Dollars which will cover the expenses for the book production. This includes cover design, proofreading, interior design, and other publication activities. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of the book will be used to support tCHF’s efforts in Haiti.
Just six months ago, in addition to the children we support in Les Cayes, we expanded our outreach to include the education of school children now also at a rural coastal village in the South of Haiti. These kids have had their right to education compromised for too long because of the lack of income for their parents. The Coronavirus crisis exacerbated the situation for learning and disrupted parents’ ability to work in a country where jobs were already deficient. The consequential negative effect on Haitian children is overwhelming and we cannot stand by. So, a year ago we decided that our new book would help supplement our funding requirements allowing us to continue with our mission to
“change lives one child at a time”.
This fundraiser is crucial. The donations we receive will help tCHF in the fight to bring, nutrition, and education to the most vulnerable children in Haiti. We will be personally matching the first $1,000 in donations. Please encourage friends and family to participate in the fundraiser.
Please share with others after you have done the donation (suggested amount $15-$20). For your gift, we will send you a copy of the book when printed in the Fall this year. You can also reach out to us at info@childrenheritage.com for more information.
Thanks so much for contributing to this Book project!
