Annika’s hire is part of ICG’s expansion of the outdoor education team, meaning more kids can enjoy high-quality outdoor programming at the Garden. Candice, Scarecrow Jubilee is getting closer!

Free fall fun for everyone!

Celebrate Autumn and family-friendly fun at Ithaca Children’s Garden, Scarecrow Jubilee! Circle the date on your calendar for Saturday, October 21st, from 1 to 4 PM in Ithaca, NY 14850.


Delight in the fruits of the harvest season with autumnal crafts, snacks, music, a Lily Silly puppet show and, of course, scarecrow-making with family and friends at this free community event. Whether you’re looking to create, watch, or soak in the autumn ambiance, the Scarecrow Jubilee is the place for both the young and the young at heart. We look forward to seeing you there!

Open the Door to New Adventures with A Library Card!

Join our September library card partnership with Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL)!


September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and at ICG, we're celebrating this month with our community partner, TCPL. A library card is for more than books: it opens doors to new experiences for you, your family, and friends, at no cost to you. (Even with late items. TCPL has been fine-free since 2019.)


You can access these free resources quickly and easily and enjoy great family fun during TCPL’s Family Storytime event at Ithaca Children’s Garden on Thursday, September 21. You can look forward to:


  • Family Storytime from 10:30 to 11 AM
  • Free library card sign-ups from 11 to 11:30 AM
  • All at ICG’s Troll House.


No registration is required – show up to take advantage of this event!
