Collaborating for Children & Youth
From Leslie Janca, CEO, The Georgetown Project
The Georgetown Project Collaborative for Children & Youth is a coalition of 50-plus youth-serving organizations, agencies, and others united in building a community where children and youth have the opportunity to thrive. Mobilizing the collective synergy of youth-serving organizations around a common vision for young people is hopeful and inspirational to me. Our partners in The Collaborative not only inform our work at The Georgetown Project, but they embrace new opportunities to build partnerships with each other to reduce duplication and improve youth and family services.
The fact that organizations serving youth in Georgetown have come together at The Collaborative for almost 25 years is so special. Quality time spent together with our partners builds trusting relationships and mutual respect, which is the foundation for any successful collaboration. There is incredible collaborative work ongoing among organizations to support children and youth in Georgetown, and we salute all nonprofits serving youth and families. You are appreciated!
