Election Day is TOMORROW and polls across Maine are open until 8pm.

We recover and we vote! How you vote is up to you, but we urge you to get educated and make a plan to get to your polling place tomorrow.

Here are three action steps on just how you can do that:
1 - Download the PRCC voter guide to see where the candidates for Governor stand on substance use disorder and recovery at https://portlandrecovery.org/2022voterguide/.
2 - Visit 411.org to see what’s on your ballot, check your voter registration, find your polling place, and see where candidates stand on the issues.
3 - Watch this video on YouTube where staff, volunteers and members share the reasons why voting is important to us at PRCC at https://youtu.be/ZxxZYrr6n44.
In Maine, everyone over the age of 18 who is a Maine resident and a United States citizen can vote. This includes anyone with a felony conviction, those currently incarcerated, are homeless, or have never registered to vote.

Maine also has same day registration. If you are not registered, your address has changed, or you have never voted before, you can update your address or register at the polls. Bring an ID (driver's license, state ID, school ID, passport etc.) and a residency verification (a bill, a government document, lease agreement, etc.).

Make your voice heard. Your vote is important.

Kindly,
Leslie
