As we navigate this time of uncertainty and upheaval,  we here at the Breastfeeding Resource Center remain committed to providing expert lactation services and support to  families.  Throughout this time, IBCLCs at the BRC have been showing up for our clients.   We are proud to continue helping families feed their babies - we know that nothing is more essential or life-saving.

Every major health organization agrees that the immunity boosting effects of breastmilk are crucial at times like these for all babies.  The BRC has been deemed an essential service by Governor Tom Wolf - and we agree!
"A woman with COVID-19 should be supported to breastfeed safely, hold her newborn skin-to-skin, and share a room with her baby."

Our IBCLCs are in hospitals on the front lines assisting babies and caregivers in those crucial early days. Our offices remain open for appointments for any parent struggling with breastfeeding.
  • Consults are available in person or via telehealth - call us for an appointment
  • Community Counselors remain available over the phone
  • Support groups are being held online via Zoom  for BRC clients.
  • Classes are available via Zoom meetings.  (visit our   Facebook   page for info )
While we acknowledge the difficulties this time has placed on families and individuals, we ask that you donate what you can to help us continue to serve babies and their caregivers.

We will continue to monitor the progression of the pandemic and to follow the health recommendations of our government officials. Our board of directors consists of public health officials, doctors, lactation consultants, and researchers on the front line of COVID-19 to deliver up-to-date safety protocols around breastfeeding. You can find information here
And most importantly,  we are here for you.
