During our recent Executive Team call, we had an honest conversation about the future of the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats — and one thing was clear: if we truly believe in growing this organization, we have to be the ones who start.
Out of that discussion, I formed the Recurring Commitment Committee because we know sustainability doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when leadership steps forward first.
This isn’t just about fundraising — it’s about ownership. If we want this coalition to expand, support our chapters, and continue building real political power across Texas, we have to invest in it consistently ourselves.
That’s why we’re asking each Executive Team member to make a recurring pledge.
Whatever level works for you — monthly support shows that we stand behind the organization we say we love and are committed to growing.
When our members see leadership leading, it sets the tone for the entire coalition.
