AM YISRAEL CHAI!

tubshevat_header image

Tu B'Shvat, the New Year for the Trees and the original Earth Day, marks the onset of spring in Israel, a time of hope and renewal. The holiday of Tu B'Shvat occurs on Wednesday evening, January 24 through sunset on Thursday, January 25. There’s no better way to show you believe in light and life over darkness, than by planting trees in Israel.

This year it is more important than ever to plant trees in Israel:

  • To show your love for our Jewish homeland
  • In recognition of brave IDF soldiers and those on the frontlines
  • As a beacon of hope for the hostages and their families
  • As a memorial to someone who passed away
  • In honor of your heroes and the important people in your life

Celebrate life and love. To plant trees in Israel, please CLICK HERE.

FREE IN-PERSON; advance registration required

Florida Atlantic University (FAU Boca)

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Friedberg Auditorium

777 Glades Road, Boca Raton 33431

During World War II Jews resisted not only with guns but also with pen and paper. Even in the face of death they left “time capsules” full of documents that they buried under the rubble of ghettos and death camps. They were determined that posterity would remember them on the basis of Jewish and not German sources. The Ringelblum archive in the Warsaw Ghetto buried thousands of documents. But of the 60 people who worked on this national mission, only three survived. This will be their story.
