January 2026 | 2025 Year in Review

The Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation had an impactful year in 2025, donating over $128,000 and 540 volunteer hours to more than 30 local nonprofits throughout the Capital Region and Hudson Valley. In addition, Sunmark held its first ever "Sunmark Serves Week," with staff volunteers participating in hands-on service projects supporting local nonprofits. The Foundation also completed their fifth Summer of Kindness and seventh annual ICU Awards. Take a look at some of our special highlights from 2025.

Sunmark Credit Union's annual charity golf tournament raised over $70,000

Sunmark hosted Girls Inc. for a day of mentorship as part of their Summer of Kindness

"Freezin' for a Reason," staff took the Polar Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics of NY

In partnership with WNYT, Sunmark hosted a classroom supply drive

We joined the Schenectady Fire Department to host a free community fishing event

For the tenth year, Sunmark hosted a winter hat drive to benefit pediatric cancer patients

Each month, staff volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House "Love is Served" kitchen

We celebrated our annual ICU Day Awards with $20,000 donated to area non-profits

Hood’s mission is to bring unity to our communities by providing safe, engaging, athletic programs to our youth.
