Coronavirus Response
Dear Clients, Visitors and Friends of The Well,

The Well regularly takes precautions against spreading germs, but as CoVID-19 makes its way around the U.S. and as news spreads in our communities - sometimes with alarm - we are upping our game! We are doing all we can to minimize the spread of the virus. As licensed health professionals, we practice universal precautions and industry standards for all our services - always have, always will - so recent CDC recommendations are not new to us. Here's an overview of the prevention measures we take every day at The Well.
Hygiene at The Well
Massage therapists wash their hands before and after ever session and throughout the day. They clean treatment rooms between every client and at the end of their shift by wiping down surfaces - door knobs, furniture, light switches, table, face rest, lotion bottles, anything that gets touched. They provide fresh linens for every client.

Admins keep all commons areas clean throughout the day. They wipe down the reception area, front office, restrooms, and kitchen. All surfaces, light switches, door knobs, phones, pens, keyboards, POS machine, faucets, appliances, etc. get the same treatment! Hand washing and hand sanitizer happen between clients and before handling clean laundry, dishes, tea service, and so on.

Clients and visitors, what can you do? Stay home if you are feeling sick - we'll reschedule your appointment and see you when you feel better. We'll gladly accommodate your request for private waiting space away from a crowded reception area. We suggest you prepay your session using PayPal or massage package to minimize your time at the front desk. Our all-gender restrooms make it easy for you to wash your hands before and after your session. And we have hand sanitizer galore!

Promising Outcomes for Pregnant and Postpartum Clients
But ACOG and CDC Still Advise Caution
Preliminary findings from China indicate that pregnant women and their babies have no additional risk to CoVID-19. However, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) still advise caution, saying that "very little is known about COVID-19, particularly related to its effect on pregnant women and infants, and there currently are no recommendations specific to pregnant women."

Should you come to The Well for prenatal/postpartum massage, infant massage, pelvic floor yoga or workshops? That is up to you and how comfortable you feel being out and about. Let us know if you need to reschedule or you want to discuss accommodations with your therapist.

You can read the ACOG Guidelines and the CDC Guidelines for pregnant women and children.
