Dear Friends,

This week has impacted each of us, and all of us collectively, in myriad ways, but there is one universal truth: the future of our country, and our work, will change over the next four years, though it may not be clear at this moment how. Nonprofits are the conduits, the connectors, and the heart of communities. We help those most vulnerable. We create and share culture. We educate. We care for the health and well-being of New Yorkers. So we must prepare for change.

At NPCC, we know one other thing: we will be here for you. And as things become more clear, we'll provide guideposts and information that will help your organization. We'll advocate for the things we need to have a strong, resilient, and vibrant nonprofit sector.

This piece from The Nonprofit Quarterly suggests some things for nonprofits to think about post-election: capacity for advocacy strategies, collaboration with other nonprofits, communication with your constituents, and a vision to create the world that we all want. NPCC is here to help you implement these strategies. We have workshops and forums to help you build capacity or to communicate with your constituents. We will continue to convene nonprofits both to share information and to collaborate with you, and encourage your collaboration with others. We will support your visioning through our programs.

As for us, NPCC will stand by our values of diversity, inclusion, equity, respect, passion for our work and excellence. We know that strong nonprofits are more effective and efficient and can handle challenges more strategically. We know that strong nonprofits change the world. And we support you.

We are here for you. We believe in and thank you for the work you are doing. Please reach out to us. Call, email, and follow us on social media. Let us know how else we can help.

Let's get to work!
