ABL
UPDATE

Our MyDORWAY ABL application process just got a whole lot better!

We've said for years that MyDORWAY is the best place to apply for ABL licenses and permits with the SCDOR.

Because you're applying online instead of paper, your MyDORWAY application reaches our offices instantly, saving you a trip to our office. Plus, systematic checkpoints help ensure your application is complete and accurate before you send it our way.

⭐ The MyDORWAY application process has been so successful that we've recently extended it to include more licenses and permits! Effective immediately, you can now complete these ABL applications on MyDORWAY:

 ABL-107: Liquor Producer/Importer

 ABL-107B: Liquor Producer/Importer Representative

 ABL-500: Beer or Wine Producer/Importer

 ABL-571: Out-of-State Wine Shipper

ABL-902: In-State Beer, Wine, and Liquor Wholesalers | In-State Breweries, Wineries, Micro-Distilleries, Liquor Manufacturers

 ABL-903: In-State Food Manufacturer

 ABL-904: In-State Special Bakery

▶️ We've also made a significant change to the MyDORWAY application process for the licenses and permits listed on the ABL-901, Application for Retail Beer, Wine, and Liquor.

Because applicants are required to have a Retail License with the SCDOR prior to submitting an ABL-901, you are now required to receive your Retail License number and sign up for a MyDORWAY account prior to accessing the ABL-901 on MyDORWAY.

If you're new to the process, you can obtain a Retail License and sign up for MyDORWAY by completing the SCDOR's Business Tax Application. After you've registered your business and signed up for a MyDORWAY account, you must log in to MyDORWAY before applying for a license or permit listed on the ABL-901.

🍸ABL news + notes

With our recent MyDORWAY application enhancements, the only ABL permits you currently cannot apply for on MyDORWAY are Special Event and Special Nonprofit Event permits.

Remember that if your business is open after 5:00 pm to sell beer, wine, or liquor for on-premises consumption, you must provide the SCDOR with a copy of your liquor liability policy or general liability insurance policy with a liquor endorsement. The policy must be for a total coverage of at least $1 million and cover the duration of your biennial license or permit. Proof of coverage should be kept on your business premises for inspection by SCDOR or SLED agents. See SC Code Section 61-2-145 for more information >
