September 2020
On September 8th we welcomed back our preschool students who settled into their new classrooms. While the day to day classroom environment has not changed a lot, there are a lot of new precautions in place to keep our staff and families safe. Screening stations are set up outside of every classroom. Parents and children alike are required to pass a screening test in order to participate. Start times have been staggered so that we are able to practice social distancing, parents and other staff members are not able to enter the building and backpacks must be left at home. It has required a lot of creativity and cooperation on both parent and teacher's ends, but so far we have been able to reopen without jeopardizing one another's health and well being. We look forward to the 2020-2021 school year and remain flexible and adaptable so that everyone can continue developing and preparing for a lifetime of learning and self-sufficiency.

Build Days
Wild Plum Center has partnered with various businesses in Longmont to construct different elements of our Early Childhood Health Outdoors learning environment which provides meaningful and safe outdoor experiences for children during these incredibly difficult times.

Our newest additions are these remarkable ships built and provided by Xilinx here in Longmont.

If you or your business are looking for ways to support your community while remaining remote, please be in touch. We have lots of great ideas that support the hundreds of students and families we serve, and many of them can be completed remotely.
Service Spotlight
Wild Plum Center participated in United Way's 27th Annual Day of Caring. We were mighty impressed to see just how many folks signed up to paint birdhouses for our annual "Birds and Blooms Festival" that takes place in the spring.

Pictured here are three of our newest homes for next year's Silent Auction. All proceeds from the "Birds and Blooms Festival" benefit the children and families of Wild Plum Center.

If you, your family or friends would be interested in designing a birdhouse to benefit WPC families, please contact [email protected]
COGIVES DAY is 12.8.2020
We are gearing up for another wonderful day of statewide philanthropy! Let's all do our part to uplift one another during these uneasy circumstances.

Under the Colorado Child Care Tax Contribution, anyone who files a Colorado State Income Tax return can get 50% of their contribution amount deducted from their state income taxes. For example, if you donate $200, when you file your state taxes, these taxes will be reduced by $100.
