From Help to Hope: Meet Pastor Holmes
In 2015, Horace Holmes, Jr. joined United Way of Central Georgia. We spoke with him about his role in providing hope to people seeking assistance from United Way. "I enjoy providing information, resources, opportunities, and hope to individuals."
Breaking Language Barriers
"Our community needs to see that we care about them and understand their realities. One way we do that is by having dual language parent educators who look like the communities we serve," said UWCG Parents as Teachers Supervisor, Daniel Charles.

Brews for Brookdale at Fall Line Brewing Co.
Fall Line Brewing Co. is partnering with Brookdale Resource Center for a Brews for Brookdale event. You're invited to Fall Line on September 28th at 5:30PM to learn more about Brookdale's work to end homelessness in our community. Fall Line will donate15% of the sales from the event to Brookdale. UWCG Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Learn more about our Birth through Eight initiatives and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Oct. 13, 2022, at Usher's Temple in Fort Valley, GA. Our team will be onsite to provide information about United Way's programs for families with children under 5 from 10am -12pm. 
Read for the Record is Back!
Together with our community partners, United Way is working to improve grade level reading and early childhood education. Come read Nigel and the Moon with us on October 27th! Volunteers will read to 1-2 classes at a school of their choosing. Available shifts are 10:00-11:00 and 11:00-12:00 at each location.
