Welcome To The EMH Global Newsletter
Welcome to the first edition of our brand new newsletter. With our agency involved in so many activities in the past month, making a decision on what to include in this edition was a real challenge. Thankfully we have crossed that bridge and here we are with our maiden edition.
In this edition we want to introduce you to our services and clients at EMH Global a uniquely diverse and ethnic London based, full service communications agency. We have shared our thoughts on a subject that is core to the heart of our agency. “Diversity Inclusion”. We wish you a happy read and look forward to interacting with you more in our subsequent editions.

Black History Month and Africa On The Square Celebration
|
|
Over 25,000 people from varied backgrounds across London were in Trafalgar Square London to celebrate all things African. This was part of the activities organised across the United Kingdom to celebrate Black History Month 2017. The event organised in collaboration with the Mayor of London featured a range of activities highlighting the communities from across the continent.
As usual EMH Global, London’s most dynamic and diverse ethnic communications agency was in attendance working with the Voice Newspaper the official media partner for the event and Ghana High Commission who were attending for the first time. For the voice newspaper, EMH contributed content for the official event magazine whilst for the Ghana High Commission we facilitated their involvement from registration to take part in the festival through to the stand setup, PR and content production. EMH also included as part of the attraction to promote the Ghana stand, the presence of 5 award winning Ghanaian cocoa farmers who were in UK as part of their prize package.
The farmers offered the visitors to the Ghana stand an opportunity to see and feel a real cocoa pod out of which chocolate is made. For many, this was their first time seeing a raw cocoa and meeting a cocoa farmer.
The festival itself offered a variety of activities for all who attended, some of the attractions included stalls selling traditional handmade African craft and products and African cuisine. Others had put up stalls which were interactive and family friendly such as African hair platting, making masks, playing football, African drum circle stall and lots more. In short the event held so much fun activities for everyone to do and take part in while introducing them into African culture.
We applaud the Mayor of London for supporting this great initiative aimed at celebrating the diverse cultures in London. Having events like these in London is very important as it offers the opportunity for Londoners to experience and appreciate the cultures of its minority communities. Events like this also offer a platform to promote ethnic businesses.
As a diversity focused full service communications agency in London, we see this event as a great opportunity for ethnic businesses that have positioned their branding and communications right to attract follow on business and inquiries. We are already in conversation with a number of the businesses that participated and signing them up to assist them with their marketing and communications so they can compete in the main stream UK and European market with the unique products and services.

Tech Highlight Of The Month: Facebook Watch
|
What is Facebook Watch?
Content producers will soon have another channel to broadcast their work. This platform could potentially offer revenue generation aside promotion. This is the objective of Facebook Watch, a brand new platform on Facebook where people can watch shows.
This new extension to Facebook is not available to everyone right now as it is still being tested by a select few in the USA, but it will soon be unveiled to the world. When fully released, this new feature will be available to all users on their mobile apps, desktops, television apps and laptops. According to Facebook, one of their key attractions as a social media platform is the ability for its users to watch and share videos with friends; hence the need to dedicate a section of their platform to this.
Content
Facebook Watch aims at becoming a platform where everyone can put out content and be able to benefit from it, by generating revenue while reaching their target audience. In addition, some of the content one can expect to see are live events like baseball games and a new cooking show by Tastemade called Kitchen Little which is about children trying to teach famous chefs how to cook after watching a cooking tutorial. So far Facebook has not mentioned much about the existing content creators and how this will affect or benefit them, but it seems like Facebook’s aim is an attempt to create a platform easily accessible and usable for all...... Huntwood
In our bid to win more UK based account, EMH signed on Huntwood Associates a leading London based strategic business leadership development consultancy. Huntwood was looking for a agency that understands diversity to produce a corporate video to promote its services to its broad clients.
EMH ticked the diversity boxes along with our expertise in delivering high quality content videos for our wide range of clients over the past 14 years.
We worked closely with the client throughout the project cycle, from development of the production brief through to filming and editing.
We are happy to say Huntwood was very pleased with the outcome of our production.....

ISBA
We were approached by ISBA, the voice of British Advertisers, to make them a short film about all the pioneering work they are doing in the cause of the development of procurement for UK advertisers, an area there is a lot of interest in. We had a tight time frame to work within. We decided to take the route of simple animation to convey all the activity that was planned in the procurement community, and the successes achieved to date.
We produced the film for them on brief, on budget and on time.
So well received was the film, that it got a standing ovation from the audience at the conference.
And has led to more work for the agency from ISBA, who is now one of our most respected UK clients.

Paris Film
We celebrated our 11 consecutive years of working with Ghana Cocoa Board and the participating banks to offer events production services for their annual trade finance facility signing ceremony.
This ceremony is organised annually to raise money through a syndicate of international banks for the purchase of cocoa from Ghanaian farmers for export.
This year the events production team from EMH offered live streaming of the event via Ghana Cocoa Board’s Facebook page.
After the main signing ceremony, EMH organised a live video press conference with the CEO of Ghana Cocoa Board where he took and responded to live question from the press in Accra.

Redefining Black History Month To Make It Relevant For Today
|
|
Black History month in the UK is always an interesting time of year for us at EMH Global. This is a month to look back at the history of black people and to look at all the incredible achievements and contributions black people have made to make today’s world a better place for all.
As a London based ethnic marketing communications agency, the month offers us an opportunity to showcase our highly talented team who have been the brains behind winning projects for our many high profile clients across Africa, Europe and America.
It is important to stress that celebrating Black History month is not only to focus on the past achievements of black people but also their continuous role as trend setters in many spheres of life.
We celebrate all black musicians and the new Black British Heroes; the rise of Grime and UK rap which has taken the whole world by storm, artists like Skepta, Stormzy, Giggs are revolutionizing the world of music and making a staple that Black British music is something everyone should be proud to listen to. Artist Drake whose latest album featured Giggs was heavily inspired on Black British culture.
Our celebration of black achievement in recent times cannot be focused only on the music industry; the film industry is also witnessing the rise to fame of incredibly talented Black British actors such as Daniel Kaluuya, Idris Elba, John Boyega, Chiwetel Ejiofor who are all excelling at what they do. On the international scene we have great names such as Chadwick Boseman, Lakeith Stanfield, Forest Whitaker and so many more talented stars.
In the advertising industry, probably the biggest break of our time is the appointment of Edward Kobina Enninful OBE as a British fashion stylist and editor-in-chief of British Vogue magazine.
At EMH we look forward to the celebration of black history month in the UK where the focus is not only on the achievements of black people, but also provides a forum for open discussions on the importance of diversity within every sector.

Diversity in the world is a basic characteristic of human society, and also the key condition for a lively and dynamic world as we see today.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
