Every day, over 1,000 people access services on Key Campus.

But what about the 10,000 others experiencing homelessness across the Valley, or those in dire need of help just to stay housed?

Two words: Project Connect.

Project Connect is a homelessness resource event held seven times a year in different cities throughout the Valley. Keys to Change partners with up to 30 collaborating organizations to deliver essential services directly to the community. By meeting people where they are - whether in encampments, shelters, transitional housing, or public spaces - these organizations provide support that is immediate, personalized, and accessible.

Services include immediate access to shelter, showers, meals, medical care, substance use disorder treatment, crisis support for individuals facing domestic violence, benefits recovery, and so much more. All in one day. All in one place.

Meet Mary Hererra. She has been with Keys to Change for over five years and has been a steady, compassionate presence in the lives of many clients.

As a Behavioral Health Housing Navigator, Mary works with individuals experiencing homelessness who also live with serious mental illness or general mental health needs. Many of them have lost contact with their clinics and case managers and need help reconnecting to care.

After a recent Project Connect event, Mary shared, with a tear in her eye:

“You won’t believe it. Through Project Connect, I was able to find four more eligible clients, and they are now on the list to be housed.”

This is what Project Connect does. It brings hope. It brings safety. It brings people one step closer to home.
