Foster Care Awareness Month

May is Foster Care Awareness Month. This Month, we recognize each individual who works hard to advocate for children in foster care. From CASA Volunteers to policy makers, it takes a village to provide quality resources and a second chance.

Foster Care Legislation

In 2022, Governor Brian Kemp approved six laws, each focusing on reforming foster care and adoption in Georgia.

How can you help during Foster Care Awareness Month

  • Donate to a charity or organization who advocates for foster children.

  • Learn how you can become a foster parent in your community.

  • Spread the word about Foster Care Awareness Month via social media.

Change a Child's Story!

Become a CASA Volunteer

Above are recent statistics regarding the number of children placed in foster care in Georgia. Unfortunately, that number has increased over the past few years. The number of CASA Volunteers has increased as well. Our goal is to provide each child in foster care with a CASA Volunteer that continues to work alongside other advocates and champion the best interest of each child.
