Our Campaign has Kicked Off!
On Monday, September 10th, United Way of York County celebrated the Kick-off of the 2018-2019 annual campaign sponsored by Duke Energy and Publix Super Markets. The event was held at Events at Manchester in Rock Hill and lunch was provided by Sonny's BBQ.  Campaign Chairman, Wes Hayes introduced the newly assembled Campaign Cabinet featuring 17 key community leaders that will assist in this year's fundraising efforts.  The Campaign Cabinet represents all areas of the county and a variety of professional backgrounds.  Wes emphasized the role of the cabinet, ensuring our community partners that his team will be in touch to aid in partner campaigns any way needed. The 2018-2019 campaign goal is $1.513 million!

Dr. Jean Wright, Chief Innovation Officer at Atrium Health and the Atrium Health GIVE Campaign Chair, was the guest speaker for the event.  While delivering her family's ability to overcome adversity, Dr. Wright shared her personal attachment to United Way.

United Way of York County's President, Rebecca Melton, honored Wes Hayes for his role in chairing the organization's 2017-2018 campaign- the 75th Anniversary of United Way of York County.  Sheriff Kevin Tolson was also honored for chairing the 2017-2018 Palmetto Leadership Society.  Palmetto Leadership Society recognizes individual donors whose spirit and generosity set the course for others, pledging $600 or more annually.  Wes and Kevin will once again serve as chairman in the same capacity for 2018-2019.

We look forward, with your generous support, to another successful campaign!
