Please tell us what you think

We want all our members and associates to understand what is happening with the costs of our luncheons at Pinehurst Country Club.

First, the facts:

  • Ever since PCC closed during the pandemic, MRW has scrambled to find venues large enough to host our 120+ attendees, with varying success. Now, most of them have closed or no longer offer banquets for our size group.
  • The only other venue is Country Club of North Carolina, but it will not give us the dates we want and also charges a room fee per luncheon that is too exorbitant for our Club to absorb.
  • Room fees appear to be "the norm" for venues these days.

We are very happy to be back at PCC, which provides delicious food and a sophisticated atmosphere for our meetings.

In 2026, here is an analysis of the costs:

  • PCC will charge $36 per person (a $1.00 increase over 2025) for the base price of each meal.
  • PCC also charges a room fee, which MRW absorbed last year (so we lost money on every luncheon).
  • This year’s room fee will be $321 per meeting.
  • MRW does NOT make any money off our lunch meals.

Bottom line

In an election year in which we want to have the resources to support Republican candidates, your Executive Board is asking our members to help us cover the room fee so we can break even. The price for luncheon would be $39 per person.

We do have a second option (see the Survey).

But we can't afford to lose $321 at every luncheon.

We want your opinion! Please fill out this quick survey (less than 30 seconds) by January 12:
