Dear friends and family:
In Nicaragua, when a student is chosen to march in the September parade, it’s because that student is considered a good student and a high achiever. And if the student also carries one of the parade flags, it’s because they are an excellent student with the highest grades in their class.
The excitement felt by the student and their parents is incomparable. The effort and determination this demonstrates make us feel very proud. Year after year, more than 50 of our students march in the September parade. And this year, more than 20 carried one of the parade flags.
The effort required to go to class every day and then come to Casa de los Sueños isn't for just any student. Fatigue, stress, and other priorities mean that only some students make the decision to work hard for their future. And those are the ones who succeed.
Thanks to our Donors and Sponsors, this time of year is one of the happiest, as it reflects the support we’ve received and the results of that support. Seeing so many Casa de los Sueños students marching in the parade is proof that all the hard work put in by the students, staff, and families is worth it.
With Love and Appreciation,
Patricia, Jim, The Staff, and The Amazing Children of Education Plus Nicaraguaa
