A Month to Catch Up

August has a slower rhythm to it. The big summer plans are mostly behind you, the fall calendar hasn’t filled in yet, and there’s a rare stretch where things feel a little quieter. It’s easy to coast through it. But this is one of the better times all year to look at your finances, precisely because nothing is forcing you to.

Once the year starts winding down, a lot of decisions tend to pile up at once, and many of them come with a December deadline. Handling them in a calm month is a very different experience than scrambling through them at the end of the year.

You don’t have to do anything drastic right now. A single afternoon spent reviewing where things stand can take a lot of pressure off the months ahead.

Last month, our team swapped spreadsheets and Zoom calls for bowling lanes. We spent the afternoon together over lunch and a little friendly competition (good thing bowling isn't our full-time job).

Moments like these are a good reminder that it's okay to step away from our desks for a bit to connect outside the office and reset. The work will still be there tomorrow, but afternoons like this one don't come around as often.

When the market experiences sudden ups and downs, it’s completely natural to feel tempted to pull the plug or pause your strategy. However, reacting to short-term volatility can often turn temporary market pullbacks into permanent losses.

In this video, we discuss why a well-diversified financial plan is designed to handle these exact fluctuations. At Weave Wealth Partners, our systematic process builds portfolios engineered to outlast market cycles, helping you stay invested through the volatility so you don't miss out on the strongest recovery days.
