Dear Christ Covenant Family,

We hope this finds you and your family at a safe place on this stormy day.

This email will provide an update on the state of our campus, Covenant Day School's campus, and office and school hours.

Christ Covenant and Covenant Day School campus were hit in today's storm. We are so grateful that no one was hurt, especially considering the storm came while students and staff were on campus. Although there will be a lot to clean up in the days ahead, God was good to protect us from what could have been a far worse situation.

Currently, there are trees down in various locations, but none of the buildings were damaged severely. The Middle School has some wind and water damage, the White House has several snapped trees and downed power lines, the Lower CLC and several other areas have water damage, and a few cars were damaged by falling trees during the storm.

We are uncertain whether the church will be able to open tomorrow, but CDS has already canceled classes for Friday. At this time, we are planning to have a normal Sunday with Sunday school and morning and evening worship. If any areas on campus cannot be used, we will plan accordingly.

We appreciate your prayers for our operations and facility staff as they work to repair our campus and clear trees and debris. We also ask for your prayers for the many affected by the storm, and for our fire, EMS and law enforcement as they assist many.

Please be sure to check our website at ChristCovenant.org and our social media for the most current information for Friday and Sunday.

Blessings,
Kevin DeYoung, Senior Pastor
