We're excited to announce that all systems are a go on our end! We're praying for great weather and are fully prepared to adapt if needed.

🎉 Varsity BOYS NATIONALS- Exciting Update on Nationals FORMAT! 🏆

We are thrilled to announce that 96 Varsity Boys teams will be attending the 33rd annual HomeSchool Basketball Nationals in Springfield, MO, from March 10th-14th! In total, we will see 408 HomeSchool Teams in Springfield!

🏀 B18U Division I/II will showcase a thrilling Field of 32 Bracket Format, the same format used by the majority of NCHBC 2024 teams.

✨ Here’s the scoop on Automatic BIDS:

The top 10 finishers from each region automatically secure bids for Division I/II of Nationals.
Teams finishing in the top 11 of their region will either claim automatic bids for D1/D2 or be right on the bubble!

🔄 If an automatic bid team does not attend Nationals, the NCHBC will select the next best team from that region. If that team cannot attend, we will evaluate the top remaining non-automatic bid teams across all three regions for possible replacements. Notably, teams finishing as high as 13th in their region could be considered for a non-automatic bid.

✨ Division I/II Nationals - Field of 32 Bracket Format 💥

The 16 Winners of the Nationals Monday D1 Qualifier Games will secure their spot in the Nationals Division I! Losing teams will transition to Nationals Division II.

For teams not qualifying for Division I/II, there are still plenty of exciting formats and opportunities in our other divisions! The Varsity Boys will also feature two additional 32-team bracket formats (D3/D4 & D5).

🚀 Varsity GIRLS NATIONALS- Exciting Update on Nationals FORMAT! 🏆

We are thrilled to announce that 48 Varsity GIRLS teams will be attending the 33rd annual HomeSchool Basketball Nationals in Springfield, MO, from March 10th-14th! Overall, we will see 408 HomeSchool Teams in Springfield!

🏀 The G18U Division I will feature an exciting Field of 16 Pool Format, mirroring the format used at the NCHBC 2023 Division I B18U and G18U events.

✨ Here’s the scoop on Automatic BIDS:

The top 5 regional finishers secure automatic bids to Nationals Division I.
Teams finishing in the top 6 of their region will either claim automatic bids for D1 or be right on the bubble!

🔄 If an automatic bid team doesn't attend Nationals, the NCHBC will select the next best team from that region. If that team cannot attend, we will evaluate the top remaining non-automatic bid teams and At-Large teams from all three regions for a replacement slot. It’s possible for teams finishing as high as 9th in their region to be considered for a non-automatic bid!

✨ Division I Nationals - Field of 16 Pool Format 💥

The Top 2 finishers in each pool will advance to Wednesday's D1 Quarterfinals & Gold Ball Semi-Finals! The 3rd and 4th place teams in each pool will move to Division I-B.

For teams that do not qualify for Division I, there are still fantastic formats and opportunities in our other exciting divisions! The Varsity Girls' competition will also feature two additional 16-team pool formats for Division II and Division III, where only the pool winner will advance to the Thursday Division Semi-Finals.

Scholar-Athlete of the Month! Jocie Boyd is an exceptional student-athlete and our first Scholar-Athlete of the Month for 2025! She is also the first repeat selection of the NCHBC Scholar-Athlete of the Month!

Jocie has raised her GPA to 4.33 through challenging academic courses at home and dual-classes. She is an active volunteer with her church on a weekly basis and plays an important role at home in brightening the life of her brother who has 1p36 Deletion Syndrome requiring 24-hour care, even when he has been hospitalized over 200 miles from home.

Jocie is an integral part of her team and continues to be an excellent example of what it means to be an exceptional homeschooled student-athlete. Scholar-Athlete of the Month! Jacob May is a great player on the court and a better student in the class! He is a straight A student boasting a 3.98 GPA.

Jacob is a leader for his Houston Raiders team and for his church where he recently helped start a youth group! He serves the youth in his church and visits members who are hospitalized.
