Good evening Alvin ISD Community,

The administration at Alvin ISD has been carefully monitoring the weather conditions that will impact the Greater Houston Area later this evening.  At this time, we have no reason to believe that the weather will have any impact on the normal school schedule.  However, it is critical that our students and their families have access to the most up to date information available.

In the event that school hours are modified, you will be able to locate the most recent information from the following sources:

1)    Twitter: Alvin ISD utilizes our district Twitter account, as it allows for frequent and real time updates accessible to our followers.  Alvin ISD can be followed: @AlvinISD or by visiting https://twitter.com/AlvinISD
 

2)    Website: The District's website (www.alvinisd.net) will be used to communicate weather related updates.
 

3)    Media: News media will also be notified concerning any school schedule changes.  Please refer to the following news outlets for additional information: KTRH - 740 AM, KQQK 106.5 FM, KTRK Channel 13, KHOU Channel 11, KPRC Channel 2, KRIV Channel 26, KTMD Channel 48 and KXLN Channel 45
