A Message from the Principal
Hello Weaver Families,

It is with both excitement and nostalgia that I write this final message of the 2018-19 school year. I’d like to give my most sincere THANK YOU to each of our Weaver families for the work you have done this year in helping our school continue to be great. Thank you for spending your nights reading with your child, completing homework, and persevering through JiJi math! Thank you for supporting your child by attending Back to School Night, Science Night, Weaver Goes Gatsby, our Carnival, Parent Conferences, and Open House. Thank you for believing in us as a staff to do what is academically and emotionally right for your child. On behalf of the staff at Weaver, we truly appreciate the love and support you have shown throughout the school year.

Your assignment for the summer is to ENJOY your children! Play with them. Talk with them. Encourage their curiosity. At the end of the day, read with them. Learning doesn’t cease in June. The experiences and conversations you offer will travel into the next school year. YOU are your child’s first and most important teacher!

We are all looking forward to seeing you and your children on August 1, 2019!

Love to all,
Rick Larson
Interim Principal

PTA is in need of CARNIVAL co-chairs!

We have several parents who are willing to take parts of the function with Carnival, but would like someone who can oversee the whole Carnival. It's a great event for the entire family and the PTA will support you and get you trained. If no-one is willing to lead the Carnival, we will unfortunately not be able to have one at the next school year.

Please consider chairing this wonderful event! Contact Vicky at vickyptavu@gmail.com.

Safety is a Top Priority at Weaver!

Student safety is a top priority for all of here at Weaver Elementary School. Please join me in making Weaver safe by following these safety precautions.

  • Parking is not permitted along the yellow curb in the roundabout. Busses drop students off at Weaver throughout the day, and parked cars do not allow those busses to get kids home on time.
  • Turning left into the roundabout is not permitted between the hours of 7:45 AM – 8:15 AM and 2:25 PM – 2:55 PM. Turning left on Wembley creates a traffic hazard, causing other drivers to approach oncoming traffic to head northbound. Instead of turning left, parents are encouraged to head northbound on Wembley and wait in the drop off line.
  • Pick up or drop off is not permitted in the Kids Korner parking lot. This lot is for staff only. Please use the roundabout for pick up and drop off purposes.
  • Pick up or drop off is not permitted in the Piedmont Staff Lot. This lot is for staff only. Please use the roundabout for pick up and drop off purposes.
