Principal's Message
Hello Weaver Families,
I hope you and your family enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day. Though mothers deserve appreciation throughout the year, Mother’s Day is a special opportunity to celebrate and thank moms. Weaver moms, in particular, truly are SUPER MOMS!!

Thank you to all our families for your generous tokens of appreciation and love during Staff Appreciation Week. A special THANK YOU to Stacy Russell and Abby Harris  for organizing an amazing teacher appreciation week! Your creativity and hard work astounded our staff every day!! A huge thanks to all the room parents who made beautiful decor for our teachers. Thank you for organizing all the special touches for your teachers. Thank you to all the families who donated yummy food and drinks for the teachers to feast on all week. The snacks, treats, and lunches were VERY much appreciated!!
Rick Larson
Interim Principal
Thank you to Raj Rajalingam, who is the owner of Blaze Pizza of Fountain Valley, who donated all the delicious pizzas and salads for our Teacher Appreciation luncheon on May 9th! The PTA is so appreciative of your kind and generous support of our talented and extraordinary teachers at Weaver. Thank you, Raj!
What's Happening at Weaver!
A Special Community Message from Girl Scout Troop 3262

The Girl Scouts from Troop 3262 recognized a common problem in their community, namely among girls of similar age (5th graders), and that is having stress (from school, family, puberty, etc). To make a difference, Troop 3262 made 3 helpful, instructional videos on how to manage stress in a healthy way.

Video 1: Demonstrating how to make a stress ball
Video 2: Demonstrating how to journal
Video 3: Demonstrating social support through talking about their stress.

The videos were distributed to other Girl Scout troops through the Los Alamitos Service Unit Leader Meeting. The troop also shared their videos and a list of additional resources for how to deal with stress at their school at Weaver's flag ceremony on May 10th. Troop 3262 hopes to share awareness about inevitable stress in life and to empower girls in their local community to deal with stress in healthy, supportive ways.

We would like to congratulate each of the 12 girl scouts from Troop 3262 for earning their esteemed Bronze Award for their community service!

Safety is a Top Priority at Weaver!
Student safety is a top priority for all of here at Weaver Elementary School. Please join me in making Weaver safe by following these safety precautions.
  • Parking is not permitted along the yellow curb in the roundabout. Busses drop students off at Weaver throughout the day, and parked cars do not allow those busses to get kids home on time.
  • Turning left into the roundabout is not permitted between the hours of 7:45 AM – 8:15 AM and 2:25 PM – 2:55 PM. Turning left on Wembley creates a traffic hazard, causing other drivers to approach oncoming traffic to head northbound. Instead of turning left, parents are encouraged to head northbound on Wembley and wait in the drop off line.
  • Pick up or drop off is not permitted in the Kids Korner parking lot. This lot is for staff only. Please use the roundabout for pick up and drop off purposes.
  • Pick up or drop off is not permitted in the Piedmont Staff Lot. This lot is for staff only. Please use the roundabout for pick up and drop off purposes.
