Pulaski Web opened for business in 1985 with a 5 unit Web Leader line. As the demand for color increased, an Atlas line and three Quadra Color units were added over the next 15 years.
"Due to our ability to print exceptional 4-color on the Quadra Color units, we decided to continue with WebPress equipment and purchased three Quad-Stack units in 1998", states Richard Gaines, CEO. Another Quad-Stack unit was added in 2003 with UV capability. "As well as printing several 100% gloss publications on the UV line, UV also gives us the ability to print gloss covers for our cold web magazines. "
Gaines continues: "The Quad-Stack units are the workhorses in our plant. I believe being able to go from one run to another quickly with no registration problems has given us an advantage over other printers."
When Pulaski Web began operation in 1985, most of their work was newspaper and shopper format. Now the large majority is stitch-and-trim magazine, all 4-color.

GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY!
A survey done by creditcards.com released in November found that PAPER COUPONS are still favored by most consumers, including Millennials. (As reported in Printing Impressions 11/3/15)
Also in early November: Amazon.com opened it's first "brick and mortar" bookstore in Seattle, featuring printed copies of its most requested books. This follows a trend reported in the New York Times in September stating that the Association of American Publishers had registered a 10 percent decrease in digital book sales in the first five months of the year and that the number of independent bookstores was actually growing.
The advertisements in a newspaper are more full knowledge in respect to what is going on in a state or community than the editorial columns are.

INCREASE YOUR VOCAB:
noun: glitter, sparkle, or a sudden flash of wit.
"Coruscation" can be found in L.M. Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables" as well as the works of C.S. Lewis and William Faulkner, among others.
Try confusing a family member by exclaiming, "Just look at the coruscation on our tree this year!"
