LHS Band and Chorus Present Christmas Concert

December 25, 1976

CHRISTMAS CONCERT—The Lassen High School Band and Chorus performed its 11th Christmas Concert under the direction of Ray A. Craig, music director, at Lassen High School on Thursday, December 16, at 7:30p.m.

The concert began with the 40-member chorus singing four selections including the “Twelve Days of Christmas.”

The story of “The Little Drummer Boy” was acted out while soloist Debbie Prater sang the song in the background. A satire on the “Twelve Days of Christmas” which was entitled the “Twelve Days After Christmas” was performed by the chorus vocal ensemble and its humor was appreciated by the audience.

The evening was concluded by the band taking the stage and playing a Christmas medley arrangement which included “A Legend of Kings,” “O Worship the King,” and the “Great Songs of Christmas.” The 32-member band did an excellent job as all their material was completely new this year.

In top photo, Ray A. Craig, Lassen High School music director, leads his performing chorus in one of their Christmas selections. Lower photo, the Nativity Scene, which included from left Pat Domingos as the drummer boy, Wanda Lopshire as Mary, Becky Sowers as Joseph, Shawn Harvey as Baby Jesus, and the Three Wise Men: Cheryl Prince, Becky Seteney and Tammy Hiles.
