A Message from Our Principals

Dear Webb Middle School Community,

Welcome to the October edition of our newsletter, where we celebrate the importance

of our students as leaders in shaping the school's climate and culture.

At Webb Middle School, we recognize that our students are not just learners but also leaders. Their actions, attitudes, and choices contribute significantly to the atmosphere within our school walls. They have the power to influence this atmosphere and inspire positive change. This month, we're emphasizing the vital role they play in creating a school environment that is inclusive, supportive, and filled with opportunities for growth.

Leadership Initiatives

We are proud of our students who have already taken on leadership roles within various clubs, organizations, and sports teams here at Webb and in the community. This involvement not only enriches their school experience but also sets the tone for others to follow. If your child is interested in joining any activities or starting a new one, please don't hesitate to reach out to our staff for support.

Our school thrives when every student feels valued and included. Starting this month, we're focusing on empowering our students to be leaders in fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Through various initiatives and programming, we're encouraging students to take ownership of their school and make it a place where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Student Spotlights

In upcoming newsletters, we'll be featuring stories of students who have made a positive impact within our school community. These stories serve as inspiration and highlight the incredible potential of our students as leaders.

Anti-Bullying Awareness Month

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and we are committed to reinforcing kindness and empathy among our students. We encourage them to stand up against bullying, support their peers, and report any concerns they may have. Together, we can ensure Webb Middle School remains a safe, nurturing environment.

We believe that when students take an active role in shaping the school culture, we create an environment that is not only academically enriching but also emotionally supportive. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education, and let's work together to make Webb Middle School a place where every student can thrive.

Warm regards,

Matt Delkamp, Principal

Brandon Peyer, Associate Principal

We are entering the second month of school and are beginning to settle into routines. There are plenty of us, though, who are still trying to figure out schedules of where to be and when and how we’re going to get there! As a family, it may reduce some stress and chaos to sit down and fill out a calendar with all the upcoming commitments and activities. This way, we know what is coming up and have fewer last-minute surprises.

As your family schedules all the necessary events of life, please remember to schedule some time for taking care of yourselves. With the weather as fabulous as it has been, try to find time to get outside and enjoy the area’s beauty! Check out a local park, visit the Hartje Center, go to the orchard, or just take the dog for a walk.

Social interactions are important for everyone’s mental health as well. When students become connected to others outside their family, they feel included. They tend to perform better in school and have higher levels of confidence and self-esteem. There are several options for getting involved, including, but not limited to, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, club sports, 4-H, and others. Reach out if you need additional information or contact information.

It may be tough to begin a schedule or change routines, but with time, there tends to be less overall stress and conflict. Finding the balance between responsibilities and fun is a work in progress and unique to each individual or family, so if one plan doesn’t work, don’t give up! Try something else or reach out to get more ideas. Good luck, and remember we are here to help.
