Exciting changes to what we called homeroom!

This year we will be expanding our programming in the new "Webb Pride" hour. In this new program, educators will identify students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional strengths and challenges, and provide differentiated support for students based on their needs. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will be designated as "Achieve" days. During these days in Webb Pride the focus will be on the academic strengths and challenges of our students, primarily in reading and mathematics. Tuesday and Thursday will have an advisory emphasis to address student needs in all areas.  

We are excited for the new year, and we hope you are too. Together, let's make the 2022-2023 school year the best one yet!

The School District of Reedsburg has a new logo.

The School District of Reedsburg has a new logo approved by the school board during the August meeting. This logo was developed through a cross-sectional committee of individuals representing the community, school board, parents, and administration. Watch the video that introduces the new logo.

Chromebook Insurance

The School District of Reedsburg has partnered with School Device Coverage to offer families insurance for their child's school-issued Chromebook. 

The insurance covers damage, loss, and theft, along with unlimited claims and full transferability, with no Deductible and no hidden fees. Without this insurance, you could be liable for costly repairs and/or the replacement cost of the device.

Please Note: you will need your child's device serial number. To locate it, turn on the device. Press ALT V for serial number to display in the top right corner. Otherwise, it is printed on the bottom of the Chromebook. For students at Prairie Ridge Intermediate School in grades 3-5, since these devices are at school, you may write 'TBD' in for the Serial Number. For further assistance with locating the device's serial number email helpdesk@rsd.k12.wi.us.

BARK

The School District of Reedsburg utilizes the BARK program to monitor all school-owned student accounts, including Google Drive, email, and chats for concerning content. These accounts are monitored whether the student is accessing them from school or another location. School counselors will review all reports and may speak directly with students or contact parents if the content is deemed to be concerning. The purpose of this is not to invade students' privacy but to allow us to address any possible student needs. If you have any questions about this program, please contact the school counselors.

Hello, and welcome back! We are so excited to start this new school year! As school counselors, we are available to all students. You or your child may get a hold of us via email, phone, or google voice. We realize that different communication methods work for different individuals, so we are trying to be as flexible as we can.  

We encourage all students to access the school counseling services/ office. If you DO NOT want your child to visit with us, please contact us to let us know. Also recognize that we are a listening ear and available to assist students through difficult moments, big emotions, problem solving, etc. To help build and maintain an effective counseling relationship, the school counselors keep sessions confidential. There are limits to confidentiality and some disclosure may be required to prevent any clear and imminent danger to self and others.
