WETLAND RESTORATION PROJECT UPDATE - FEBRUARY 2026


Metropolitan is moving forward with the Webb Tract Wetland Restoration Project, an exciting effort to enhance local ecosystems, stop or reverse subsidence, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. We've just received the final permits, and the project design is being finalized in preparation for a Request for Proposals (RFP). The RFP will be issued this Spring. Pending approval by Metropolitan and Delta Conservancy, construction is expected to begin in 2026.
