MSRDC and DOE Promoting Pathways for Underrepresented Groups in Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Technologies

Dear MSRDC,

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technology Office (AMMTO) seeks to expand partnerships between US Minority Serving Institutions and Manufacturing Institutes (MFI) via research-intensive student capstone projects. Teams of graduate and undergraduate students will lead efforts under the direction of established principal investigators to form university teams that will focus on innovations to strengthen the research priorities listed below:

1. Wide Band Gap Power Electronics

2. Carbon Fiber Composites

3. Process Intensification and Modular Chemical Process Intensification

4. Recycle, Reuse, and Remanufacturing

5. Smart Manufacturing

6. Cyber Security for Manufacturing

To support the facilitation of your proposed research, DOE can partner your laboratory with one of its research collaborators in an effort to provide you with instrumentation and additional external tools and resources.

MSRDC and DOE AMMTO cordially invite you to a webinar that will be held Wednesday Aug 30, 2023 at 12 PM ET focused on explaining and addressing questions about the Request for Proposal (RFP) that was recently released.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

MSRDC R&D Team
