Massachusetts communities may consider applying for a Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) grant to help draw local industries and businesses into regional emergency planning processes and assist them with proactively implementing toxics use reduction techniques to preserve the business and protect the surrounding community from chemical releases and accidents. Likewise,industrial facilities and small businesses may apply for toxics use reduction grants to find safer alternatives to toxic chemicals.
