About the facilitators:

Dawn Brantley


With over 15 years in emergency management at the local, regional, state, and federal levels, Acting Director Dawn Brantley is a national expert in accessible and inclusive emergency management. She has responded to 21 disasters in multiple states; implemented inclusive programs and services at local, regional, and state levels; and championed progress in accessibility and equity both agency-wide at MEMA and across the country.

Abby Shneyder


Abby Shneyder is MOD’s Program Coordinator for Emergency Preparedness. She travels around the Commonwealth delivering presentations on personal preparedness for emergencies to people with disabilities. Prior to joining MOD, Abby worked as a field and community organizer on political campaigns. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she started her career in public service as an AmeriCorps member at an affordable housing non-profit in San Diego. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration at Suffolk University.
