Vegan, vegetarian, and flexitarian diets are trending and growing rapidly in the United States, Canada, and across the world. Consumers are becoming more educated on ingredients and are looking for cleaner labels without compromising taste and appearance.

Recent innovations from Brenntag Food & Nutrition's Application & Development Center address this trend  with our new vegan gyro, vegan shawarma, and vegan taco meat concepts introduced during  Virtual IFT . Our team also highlights a few of our key suppliers and their ingredients such as plant-protein, naturally sourced colors, and methylcellulose. Additionally, we are showcasing our new immunity beverage demo.

Terry Wagner, Senior Food Scientist
Experienced in the areas of soups and sauces, emulsions, RTE Food, frozen desserts, and more. As part of the Food & Nutrition Research & Development team, he works with customers to formulate solutions. 

Asim Syed, Food Applications R&D Director 
Leading the Food & Nutrition Application Research & Development team, he is responsible for supporting business growth by providing technical leadership to the sales teams, as well as technical support to producers and customers. 

Trevor Nichols, Food Scientist
He has over seven years of experience focusing on the development of new release aids and processing aids for industrial and food service customers.
