Amy Sturm is an Associate Professor and Licensed Genetic Counselor in the Division of Human Genetics at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She is the Senior Genetic Counselor for Ohio State's Clinical Cardiovascular Genetic and Genomic Medicine Program, where she provides genetic counseling services for patients with all types of hereditary heart diseases, including FH. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and also serves as the Leader of the FH Working Group within the Cardiovascular Genetics Special Interest Group of the NSGC. Ms. Sturm recently published "The Role of Genetic Counselors for Patients with Familial Hypercholesterolemia" in Current Genetic Medicine Reports (April 2014).
