• New York State school buses will be all-electric by 2035, but you don't have to navigate the transition alone. Our early adopters say the first step is forming your team: with knowledgeable staff, expert consultants, and community stakeholders. 

• Clean transportation is evolving; expect to learn and adjust as you go. Consider open-mindedness and curiosity about new technology when choosing your first cohort of drivers or mechanics. 

• The influx of incentives available to our region is a huge opportunity, but it takes time and energy to find what will work for you. Round 2 of the EPA Clean School Bus funding is a competitive grant program with a minimum bus order, but round 3 coming this Fall is a rebate program that offers more flexibility to school districts just getting started. Getting informed now will help you plan ahead and capitalize on the funding sources that will work best for you.
