What a great week of fall weather!
We had a little rain Monday but not enough to slow down harvest. most guys are starting to finish beans and get into the (wetter than expected) corn. A lot of corn is in that 23-28% moisture range right now which has farmers wanting to leave it in the fields but we all know once November hits it could rain for months (like it did last year). Corn yields are better than expected in the northern parts of Ohio, especially given the plant date. Back in June the question was "how much can June planted corn yield?" that answer is higher than anyone thought, and I'm sure the seed salesman will remind everyone of that. Rain in the forecast for Saturday, calling for .5-1" of rain over the weekend.
Have a Great Weekend
