###

About the I-10 Calcasieu Bridge Improvements Project

The I-10 Calcasieu Bridge Improvements Project is a 5.5-mile corridor stretching from Ryan Street to the I-210 and I-10 interchange in Westlake. The bridge, which is part of the I-10 interstate highway and is the largest project in the history of the LADOTD, will replace the 70-year-old existing crossing. It will dramatically increase capacity, reduce congestion, improve travel times, and increase safety for Louisiana, the wider national interstate highway network, and the 70,000+ cars and trucks that use it daily.

Calcasieu Bridge Partners is a special purpose entity consisting of Plenary Americas, ACCIONA, and Sacyr and serves as the project's Developer. Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the bridge and will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches between I-210 West End and Ryan Street. The new infrastructure will be built with environmentally friendly construction techniques to minimize the impact on Southwest Louisiana.
