Website Changes
After collaborating with our Website Task Force, we will release improvements and bug fixes to the SCORE.org website and chapter websites on March 7.
Below are the changes that will be included in this release:
-
Mentor Profile Visibility Changes - We are changing where mentor profiles appear on the website based on availability and pause settings.
-
Remove the “Available” Flag on Mentor Profiles/Search - We are changing how we display mentors' availability on their profiles. We've removed the "Available" flag.
-
Add the Sponsor Links When Referenced in Content Pages - As part of this update, we are enabling the web links to be visible within the descriptions on the Sponsor content pages.
-
Fix Search Pages So Users Can Enter a Keyword and Not Lose the Other Filters - We have updated the search function on the website to allow the selection of multiple categories and keyword search categories without losing the original filters.
-
Missing State Information in In-Person Event Location Display - this bug fix corrects the absence of the state in the mobile experience, ensuring that the state information is displayed as intended.
-
Remove the Comma on the In-Person Events Page - We removed the comma between the state, zip code or country on the in-person events pages.
-
Locations Placeholder Text - As part of this update, we updated the Mentor Matchmaker location filter to display “select a location” within the search box. This addresses the need to give the users a more precise direction regarding the search's capabilities.
-
Main Navigation Padding - We have added padding to the menu items within the main navigation, specifically targeting those items that do not have a submenu associated with them.
-
Implementing Cross-Domain Tracking for SCORE Forms - this change ensures that the specific Google Analytics 4 (GA4) events—namely, workshop_register_now_click, workshop_registration, volunteer_application, request_this_mentor, and mentor_request—function correctly in a cross-domain environment.
-
An issue with Stripping UTM Parameters on Form Submission - this change ensures that when the "origination" parameter is appended to the URL, all existing UTM parameters are preserved and passed through correctly, maintaining the integrity of tracking data.
