THE FALL FEASTS LESSON 8
THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES PART 4
SUKKOT PART 3 - THE FOUR SPICES

Yesterday we learned that during The Feast of Tabernacles that today observant Jews construct their sukkots (booths) with the branches of four particular trees. These tree branches come from the citron, palm, myrtle, and willow and are called the “four spices.” A special prayer of blessing is spoken over each branch.
The citron (not like the citron melon) is called the “Etrog.” Its fruit has a very sweet taste and a delightful aroma. The sweetness represents the knowledge of the Word of God within us written upon our hearts. The delightful aroma represents the good deeds and good works which are the fruits produced from our outworking faith upon the Word of God. It is the mark of the mature believer.
The palm branch is called the “Lulav” and is from the date palm. Dates have a sweet taste but have no aroma or fragrance. The taste represents those who have a knowledge of God’s Word, but the lack of fragrance means they lack the good works that come from true faith upon the Word of God. James 2:20 reflects this as it says, “Faith without works is dead.” Dead faith is not faith at all, so this date palm branch represents those who have a head knowledge of God (mental assent) but lack the heart knowledge of true faith. They deceive themselves by thinking they belong to God (Christ) but Hebrews 11:6 says, “without faith it is impossible to please (God).” They are lost.
The myrtle is called the “Hadas.” It is the exact opposite of the lulav (date palm). It has fragrance but it has no taste. The fragrance means they have good works, but lack of taste means they have little or no knowledge of God or of His Word. They “look good and smell good” on the outside, but they lack the Word of God on the inside. In the church they are what we call “hypocrites.”
The fourth spice branch is called the “Arava” which is the youngest (newest) of the willow branches before it fully opens. It has neither taste nor fragrance. This represents the unbeliever who has neither the Word of God in him nor the faith in God that produces good works. It represents the unrepentant sinner.
During the Feast of Tabernacles prayers are said over all four branches. This shows that we should pray over all four categories of people that they represent. Our prayers for people in any station of life are heard and received in heaven. God honors our prayers, howbeit in His own time.
Pray for all souls, both those you like and those you dislike.

WHAT IS TRUTH?

I remember watching a television show where someone was testifying during a trial. They placed their left hand upon the bible, raised their right hand and told to repeat, “I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God.” This affirmation meant they would not lie when asked to testify. If they did, they would be in contempt of court and would face criminal charges.
Of course, in this era they have taken out the “so help me God” part to be “politically correct” and not offend anyone.
But what is truth? Why did they place their hand on the bible? It was used because you would affirm that the word of God was where you found truth.
What did Jesus have to say about truth? In John 14:5 Thomas asked Jesus where he was going and how to get there. He said, “Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Jesus answered Thomas in verse 6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The word truth comes from a Greek word lanthano which means to be hid. When we have Jesus hidden in our heart, the Holy Spirit then guides us into all truth [John 16:13]. We learn of truth as we diligently study the scriptures.
One can swear on a bible to tell the truth about things, but if he doesn’t know THE TRUTH, which is Jesus himself, he has fooled himself. The real truth is found in Jesus Christ, the word made flesh that dwelt among us. [John 1:1]
Psalm 119:11 says, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Study the word of God and you will find wisdom, understanding, knowledge and most of all the Truth.

PROPHETIC WORD
AS GIVEN TO HELEN SANDERS

For I would say unto you, my child, do not be dismayed at the shaking that is going on around you and even in you. For this shaking is of me. My child have I not said that all that could be shaken will be shaken? And it shall increase exponentially. For it must happen to bring my creation to the foot of my throne in repentance. Yes, my child, I am allowing this shaking, and there will be much more. There will be shakings in the environment, in the weather, in the political realm, and more importantly, in the church. For there are many that would call me Lord, but they do not know me. For, if they knew me, they would hear my voice and follow me. Many are leading my people astray saying peace and safety when there will be no peace and safety other than that which is found in me.
Spend time alone with me. I am jealous for your time saith the Lord. I long for those that say they love me to just get quiet and sit at my feet, letting me touch them deep in their souls. Many are weary, for they have been in many heated battles, some of which were not for them to fight. It is time to withdraw from those things that bring you weariness and just sit at my feet. Let me show you what true love is my child. Let me wrap my arms around you and wipe your tears. Let me carry you through the deep waters, and through the fires that are coming. For I am with you through the chaos, and I am with you through the fire. But these things must come to bring purity to my bride, and a cleansing of the temple.
Oh, my child, the temples are full of vanity and pride, and they must go. The temples are full of deceit and wickedness, and they must be removed. So, as you look at the shaking, know it is for a season to bring you and my body into a pure relationship that depends only upon me. There is no greater support than that is given from the rock that you can lean on, and that rock is me, saith the Lord. Turn your ears off of the chaos and focus on the assignment that I have given you. There are so many distractions that are trying to pull you away from me. Some look very innocent, but they are a trap to keep your eyes off me, saith the Lord. Do not walk in fear. Let the faith that you have developed rise up in you for such a time as this. I have put the scepter out and all you need to do is touch it and you will receive your heart’s desires. Do not focus on things but rather focus on the creator of all things.
There is coming an unravelling that will bring down the house of cards, which was not built on the solid rock. Oh, that my children would see with spiritual eyes and not the natural, for these things have to happen to fulfill my word that has been spoken in times past. There will be an unravelling, and there will be a curtain call for the time of playing is all over. This is the time to be more intent on hearing my voice than ever. Do not be caught off guard. Guard your heart my child, for the traps are being set, and the time of great trouble is at hand. Stay close to me and know that as you go forward, there may be bumps and bruises, but I will see you through if you trust me, saith the Lord. Trust will be shaken in the natural, and in the spiritual realm. Be careful who you open your heart to because the heart is wicked and deceitful. Be careful of the words that you speak over yourself, for they will either bring life or death. I pray for you my child that you will not falter in the days ahead. I am waiting for you in the secret place saith the Lord.

THE NEXT 17 DAYS ARE CRUCIAL...please be in a time of prayer & fasting with us!
In case you haven't noticed, we are in a great transition - last Wednesday, 9/10, I believe we entered into another level of "The Best of Times & The Worst of Times" that the Lord has spoken to me about since 2012!
One week from tonight at sundown, we will enter the new year on God's calendar, 5786. We then enter the "Days of Awe" for 10 days, ending on the Day of Atonement on Oct. 2nd.
I am sensing other very intense and massive shifts coming, both here in the U.S., Israel, and other nations. Yes, we are in a time of awakening, and even the beginning stages of revival & #Reformation...and I am so thrilled for it! But hear me, that is not all that is coming. So much more is coming, and in ways that none of us would imagine. Please, please, be in prayer and fasting for the next 7 days to the "head of the year", and then even more the 10 days of awe following.
Just as what happened last Wednesday left all of us in shock and awe, there are other things that will happen that will cause "shock and awe" to many. The shock waves that are coming will be similar to what we all felt on 9/10...both for the good & the very difficult.
Pray for yourself, your family, your community, your cities, states, and the nation. Pray for leaders, both in the church, in governmental seats, and in other high places, who name the name of Christ.
Listen to where He says to go, and do not go anywhere He does not say to go. Ask Him for instructions daily. Pray without ceasing! Put on the whole armor, & pray in the spirit. Apply the blood of Jesus over you and yours, declaring Psalm 91 Divine protection over you, as you abide under the shadow of the Almighty!
I will share more on this as I feel released to do so. The burden of these days has not lifted for the Watchmen...it has only increased. Pray for the Watchmen!

Don’t become so discouraged by the opposition you've been experiencing; For it's only a sign that God is completely shifting some people and some things around...And yes, HE is moving some of them totally out and away from your life. Just always keep in mind the necessity of getting quiet in the Presence of our Holy Lord; And even more so during these mind boggling kind of battles you're now facing...For there in GOD'S PRESENCE is where your peace, your strength, your joy and your guidance will come from. So just remember that HE is GOD our Creator, our Provider and our soon coming King; And HE really does KNOW what's best for you. Therefore you keep the faith and allow HIM to do this work in you and through you; For after all today is a brand new day. Just try to start getting alone with GOD in HIS PRESENCE more FREQUENTLY and stay there a little LONGER; For it's then you'll better LEARN to fully trust HIM...As HE helps you to make the best of the opposition that's still causing the SHIFTING of some people and a few things around in your life...But yes, it is ALL for YOUR good...And for GOD'S GLORY.

If Satan can't deceive you, he will distract you, which is still a form of deception. Anytime you allow yourself to be occupied or preoccupied over anything above God, you are distracted.
