New Jersey Update
An additional 1,953 positive COVID-19 cases were reported today, bringing the statewide total to 1,073,295. An additional 30 deaths were announced, bringing the statewide total to 25,472. The rate of transmission is at 1.23. As of today 13,903,978 total vaccine doses have been administered, with 6,156,942 individuals who live, work, or study in the state now fully vaccinated.

On Monday, the Department of Health began going live on the COVID-19 dashboard reporting total numbers of positive cases among all students and staff from pre-k-12 schools as well as NJ colleges and universities. Department of Health Commissioner Persichilli advised the reporting is not yet 100% of the schools in the state, but each week, more schools are enrolled to provide this data. She also announced that rates are higher among staff than students.

Governor Murphy also announced an update on the Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Return & Earn jobs program which helps pair companies looking for employees and those looking for jobs. Since September, more than 3,700 New Jersey businesses have contacted the Department with interest in participating in the program. More than 60 contracts have been signed to date. Learn more here.
