NOTES FROM PRINCIPAL KUBUSKE

*Holy Family is proud to welcome Learning Interventionist Ms. Caroline Loomis to our team. She will be working with students in fourth through eighth grades.

*Students should come to school dressed for the weather.  Recess breaks are considered an important part of the education process and are included in curriculum minute reporting. Our students are allowed outdoors whenever the weather is conducive to outdoor activities. As a general rule, children will remain indoors when the air temperature and/or wind-chill is below zero. Your purple Holy Family bags are perfect for winter gear!

*If you need to exit your vehicle during dismissal to pick up your student, you must park in a designated parking space. No one can, or should, be stopped in the driving lane.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

REGISTRATION CLOSES TOMORROW, OCTOBER 20

Holy Family Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, from 4-7 PM, and Thursday, October 27 from 12 PM - 3:45 PM.  For new families who aren't familiar, all conferences are done via Google Meet.  Links and codes will be sent prior to conferences.

Parents can register for conferences using PowerSchool through October 20, at 11:59 PM. Logging into you PowerSchool account is the first step. GRACE has provided the following directions to simplify the process.  English   Español

PowerSchool provides parents and students access to real-time information. As a result, everyone stays connected: students stay on top of assignments and parents are able to participate in their child’s progress. Holy Family uses PowerSchool for Parent Teacher Conference registration so you may want to take a minute to make sure your account is ready.

A MESSAGE FROM GRACE

We are experiencing a profound need for substitute teachers! Do you possess a bachelor’s degree? Then you may be qualified to support our school through substitute teaching! A teaching degree is NOT required!

By substituting you can:

  • Generate income with flexible hours you can choose! You can come and go with your children!
  • Choose your buildings and types of classrooms: Your comfort and convenience are important to us! Do you only want to sub here? No problem! Open to other GRACE schools? We can include other sites that work for you!
  • Sneak a hug in the hallway or have a quick lunch or recess with your student! Experience the joy on your child’s face when he/she sees you in the hallway unexpectedly!

Lesson plans and support are always provided! Please share this message with relatives or friends who may be interested. A special person to consider may be a retired grandparent who would enjoy visiting the school once a month or so! Lastly, please keep our school and staff in your prayers while we continue to navigate this extraordinary time of staff shortages. Thank you!
