All Things Important Monthly Newsletter October 2025

This Wednesday Oct 8th at 7pm in the Lawrence Barn, we will be doing something special in anticipation of the holidays.

Jeanne Cleveland will guide us through the process of writing and organizing holiday cards to send out to our brave military who are stationed away from home this holiday season.

If you have extra Christmas or Holiday Greeting cards from past years that you no longer need or want, this is the perfect opportunity to put them to good use. Jeanne is accepting donated cards but will have plenty on hand for us to use.

The primary goal of the Holiday Card Challenge and #cards2connect Programs is the collection and delivery of personalized, signed expressions of respect, caring, and gratitude to US Troops, Veterans, and Service Families, and to decrease the airspace between the general public and our Military. Your greeting cards and letters reflect your genuine support and caring, respect and appreciation of our military heroes, letting them know that they are not alone during the winter holiday season and now throughout the year.

*** 2025 is the 7th year of this and in 2024 they sent out their 1.5 MILLIONTH card to our Military and their families, with 1,495,000 in last 8 years! ***

In addition, we will be going over the notes from our previous board meeting and distributing lawn signs for the November art show which is now fast approaching! There are only a couple spots still open so if you are running late in signing up please make sure you get your paperwork in no later than this Wednesday at our meeting!

We are asking for your suggestions on our member meeting content.

Is there a local artist that you follow on social media?

Is there an artist you wish you knew more about?

Is there a technique you would love to learn about?

We would love to tailor our member meetings to what our members want the most, so if you have ideas for upcoming presenters please reply to this email and we will do our best to accomodate.

Have you checked our Facebook page lately? There is a wealth of information on there about local classes, exhibits, calls to artists, etc. If you are looking for a source for local art happenings look no further...
